This is Pingu's first map which, I hope, was submitted just for fun. It shows how much better he has become as an author. His later maps are alot better than this. This map is meant as one of those dreaded Single Player/Multiplayer experiences so as such has to suffer in one area. Now I've not played it in SP, thats not what I do =). But from just walking round the map you can see it is not really a DM map. Each area seems distinct and doesn't join together. Theres some nice architecture here, as shown in the screenies.
The problem lies very simply with the layout. The area in the first screenshot is an example, it is particularly impossible to play in that room. You get knocked off the walkway and down into the water. Its not a problem getting out, but its a real bitch to be constantly blown off the ledge. Another example is the area in the right hand shot. On the middle of a game with 6 players it is impossible to get the Quad. You could rocket jump, but its unlikely you'll have the RL. What you have to do here is sit on a moving platform and patiently wait for it to move across the room so you can jump off and grab the Quad. It just isn't going to happen.
So how does it play? Erm... no comment.
