Daikatana textures in Quake? Surely some mistake? Well all I can say is that at least they're being put to some good use now (/me ducks the sharp claws of a mad Shambler). A couple of Stecki's Peace and Love Incorporated textures have been plonked in as well for good measure.

It is a fun map that reminds me very much of Storm Sector 7 from Diakatana, except without the rain.

What you have is very open style map, similar to say Baldm6, with 3 levels. Weapons are clearly marked with weapon pads using the aforementioned textures from Pli. Movement in the lowest two parts of the map is free flowing but there appears to be just a couple of routes up to the top level which contains the MH along with other little goodies.

It is very easy to dominate the map when duelling because of the maps very open style. It is possible to sneak around without being spotted but that can become tedious. 2-on-2 teamplay works well as does who dares wins play (FFA).

It's a bit ripe firstly insulting DKT, then p1mping your review of the old demo map at a site which you started for DKT and then abandoned!! *cough* *splutter* Hypocrisy or what??

Actually I didn't know this map used DKT textures, shows how observant I am...

This map to me has a nice feel, with all its openness and "halls in the walls", but I found that Omicrons got stuck *in* the ramp near the RL (I think), and that there's a large square room that to me doesn't fit into the map's design; said design consisting of a rat's nest of occasionally distended corridors.

Apart from that it was great fun to play around in.
